Ann Beck is an embroidery artist and former theatrical costume designer with over 20 years in fashion and theatre. She created costumes for Olympic figure skaters, ballet companies and major productions including San Francisco Ballet. Today she specializes in hand embroidery blending color, goldwork, silk shading and teaching workshops internationally.

Claire has been making and designing lace for over 30 years, learning her craft under Pat Read MBE and later Jacquie Tinch. She teaches a range of laces but specialises in and is most known for Milanese.

Deborah Wilding

Deborah is a highly skilled hand embroidery artist based in North Somerset, specialising in traditional techniques including Goldwork, Silk Shading, and Whitework. She works on bespoke commissions and large studio projects, while also teaching on behalf of the Royal School of Needlework and creating custom embroidery designs from her seaside studio.

Elizabeth Ashdown

Elizabeth is one of the UK’s few hand passementerie artists, blending endangered craft techniques with a contemporary style to create playful, bespoke artworks and trimmings. Based in London, she exhibits internationally, teaches masterclasses, and authored Passementerie. A Royal College of Art graduate, she received the 2023 QEST ADAM Architecture Scholarship.

Hannah Mansfield

Hannah Mansfield is a Bristol-based textile artist and freelance embroiderer celebrated for combining traditional hand embroidery with contemporary design. Specialising in goldwork and tambour beading, she won the 2019 Hand & Lock Prize Open Category. Hannah teaches widely, authored Tambour Beading (2024), and delivers the CHANEL Métiers d’Art Fellowship programme.

Judith Cordell

In 1994, I discovered a passion for Bobbin Lacemaking and began designing and teaching Rosaline Perle lace. Since then, I have taught workshops all over the world, published a book on the subject, and continue to find new techniques to incorporate into my designs, keeping this little known lace in the limelight.
