The afternoon is yours to explore independently—visit a museum, browse elegant boutiques, or relax in a sunny piazza with gelato in hand.
  • A gentle day discovering Lucca, a beautifully preserved walled city known for its peaceful charm and cultural richness. We’ll enjoy a relaxed lunch at a local trattoria, followed by a visit to the enchanting Villa Reale di Marlia. Jenny Adin-Christie

Jenny Adin-Christie is an internationally renowned embroidery artist and tutor, admired for her precision, artistry, and deep knowledge of historical embroidery techniques.

Originally from Derbyshire, England, Jenny has been passionate about embroidery since childhood, having grown up in a family deeply rooted in traditional craft skills. Her talent and dedication led her to complete the prestigious three-year Apprenticeship at the Royal School of Needlework (RSN), based at Hampton Court Palace. She graduated with distinction in 1999, earning the school’s top accolades for both silk shading and Coronation Goldwork.

Jenny has since built an exceptional career as a freelance embroiderer, designer, and teacher. She has taught extensively throughout the UK and across the globe, with teaching tours in Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Canada, and India. She continues to teach at the RSN while also partnering with select organisations, including her long-standing collaboration with Creative Experiences.

Jenny’s work includes high-profile commissions such as contributing to the Royal School of Needlework team that created the intricate lace appliqué panels for the Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding gown. Most recently, she played a role in the creation of regalia for the coronation of HM King Charles III and HM Queen Camilla.

In addition to bespoke commissions and textile restoration, Jenny designs a growing range of distinctive embroidery kits. These reflect her expertise in stumpwork, metal thread, Elizabethan, and whitework embroidery—always informed by a reverence for historical craftsmanship.
